Obama quickly coming up to beat Bush Jr. for spending

ceakins — Sat, 04/25/2009 - 09:21

Bush the jack boot thug and big spender that he was, spent $4.3 trillion dollars over 8 years, which comes out to about $1.5 billion dollars a day. Obama's first 100 days saw $3.5 trillion added to the national debt, coming out at $35 billion dollars a day. We as a country cannot afford to continue to spend money like that, it devalues the dollar, meaning what you make won't buy as much as it did even under Bush jr. I'm not sure how more plainly I can explain it. But so far Obama is quickly coming up to beating Bush for the most spendy president in history.

Debt after presidents left office.

Clinton $5.7 Trillion National Debt.
Bush $10 Trillion National Debt.
