Shame on you Tim Sheldon for not voting for the 'everything but marriage' bill

ceakins — Wed, 03/11/2009 - 21:48

Senate passes 'everything but marriage' bill - Same-sex domestic partners would have all of the rights and benefits that Washington offers married couples under a measure passed Tuesday night by the Senate. [KOMO TV]

This was a good bill, and I'm glad it passed. Unfortunately my democrat senator Tim Sheldon voted against it. Why would you vote against equal rights Senator Sheldon? This I will ask him and follow up. I'm straight and married, and I think gay couples should enjoy the same government contract I have. What is the problem with that? 50% of the straight couples can't even stay married.
